Some of them may actually used in other Latin American countries as well.

Güey- Probably the most used slang in Mexico. It is like "dude," and is used ALL the time (pronounced almost like “way”).
Pinche- fucking (adj.)
No manches- No way! Not to be used in formal situations.
No mames- No way! The cussword version. Definitely do not use this in formal situations. literally it basically means don't blow me.
Mamada- blow job
@- used when a word can be male or female, to represent both the “O” and the “A” in the word.

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/brook/mexican-spanish-slang#comments English Fun Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Spanish Study Fri, 04 Jul 2008 19:48:12 +0000 Brook 466 at http://wanderlusting.org Chau, suerte: The Knaddisons say goodbye to Argentina http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/chau-suerte-knaddisons-say-goodbye-argentina
One of my favorite Argentine-isms is the typical goodbye: chau, suerte! Bye and good luck! It's such a hopeful way to say goodbye to someone: a wish for the unexpected and perhaps fortuitous things to come.

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/chau-suerte-knaddisons-say-goodbye-argentina#comments Knaddison Spanish Tour Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Wed, 02 Jul 2008 17:19:04 +0000 Nikki 450 at http://wanderlusting.org Spanish class recommendation in Buenos Aires http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/spanish-class-recommendation-buenos-aires
In preparation for taking the Diploma de Español como lengua extranjera, I spent our last two weeks studying Spanish in Buenos Aires. Through craigslist, I found Natalia, an incredible teacher with very reasonable rates. I've been taking Spanish classes much of my life, and Natalia is hands down the best Spanish teacher I've ever had. En serio.

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/spanish-class-recommendation-buenos-aires#comments Knaddison Spanish Tour Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Wed, 04 Jun 2008 20:00:20 +0000 Nikki 452 at http://wanderlusting.org Los colores de La Paz http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/los-colores-de-la-paz

Central America can easily turn one off to Latin American capitals. Smog, poverty, dirt, and chaos prevail from San Salvador to Guatemala City, with the possible exception of Havana-esque Panama City. I'm glad we gave Latin American capitals another chance in South America. Buenos Aires, Santiago, Montevideo, and now, La Paz, have all exceeded our expectations and are well worth a visit.

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/los-colores-de-la-paz#comments Knaddison Spanish Tour Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Tue, 13 May 2008 13:06:09 +0000 Nikki 440 at http://wanderlusting.org Touring The Quebrada de Humahuaca: Northern Argentina's answer to Utah http://wanderlusting.org/blog/greg/touring-the-quebrada-de-humahuaca-northern-argentina-s-answer-utah
(note: this happened before the Salar de Uyuni trip, but got posted out of order - whoops).

Quebrada de Humahuaca

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/greg/touring-the-quebrada-de-humahuaca-northern-argentina-s-answer-utah#comments Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Touristing Mon, 12 May 2008 15:05:22 +0000 greg 432 at http://wanderlusting.org Touring the Salar de Uyuni and South Western Bolivia http://wanderlusting.org/blog/greg/touring-salar-de-uyuni-and-south-western-bolivia
Argentina to Bolivia at La Quiaca/Villazon

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/greg/touring-salar-de-uyuni-and-south-western-bolivia#comments Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Touristing Thu, 01 May 2008 13:58:27 +0000 greg 433 at http://wanderlusting.org Cafayate: Hiking, Biking, and Wineries in Argentina's North http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/cafayate-hiking-biking-and-wineries-argentina-s-north
Wine from Argentina's North

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/cafayate-hiking-biking-and-wineries-argentina-s-north#comments Knaddison Spanish Tour Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Sat, 26 Apr 2008 23:30:00 +0000 Nikki 430 at http://wanderlusting.org Argentina's North: Salta la linda http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/argentina-s-north-salta-la-linda
The Argentine North

It's refreshing to spend some time in the north of Argentina, an area that differs culturally and geographically from the rest of the giant country. Much more of a process than the typical American barbecue, having a Sunday afternoon asado is an Argentine tradition. The big difference in the taste is the quality of Argentine meat and the fact that its cooked slowly over wood embers.

http://wanderlusting.org/blog/nikki/carnivores-argentina#comments Knaddison Spanish Tour Latin America/Caribbean Spanglish Tue, 08 Apr 2008 19:25:40 +0000 Nikki 395 at http://wanderlusting.org
