A not so good day on the "study abroad curve"

Fact #1 so I’m so upset!!!!!!!!!!!! Almost my entire freshmen class was cheating on my map test this morning. My cute little adorable students were cheating! I just took the tests away and next week I am giving another test. I am going to tell them next week how ashamed I am of them, give them a huge guilt trip, and lay the rules down. They are in college now and this is unacceptable. I was so upset I just ignored it today and went on with my lecture.

Fact #2 I am still having problems with the soymilk in the plastic bag thing. It spills everywhere! Why can't they be convenient like Americans and package everything and be bad to the environment? Why must they squeeze fresh tofu for soymilk creating spillage hassle?

Fact #3 I hit the snooze button one too many times on my alarm clock and woke up at 7:40 and class starts at 8 and it's a good 10-minute walk to class. It’s one thing to come to class as a student in pajamas looking like I just woke up, but I had to gather my lessons, my books, I hadn't fully packed my stuff yet—I had to at least brush my teeth and look good. But somehow I made it by 8 and no one seemed to notice.

Fact #4 I named one of my students Humpty, and another Arpita. Is that wrong?

Fact #5 I was not a good teacher last night. After explaining affirmative action to the class, they all thought it was a great thing and I realized I explained it completely biased to my views. I was not very objective and I have to work on that.

Fact #6 I’m still having a good day! And i just have to prepare for class this afternoon with my lovely juniors who would never cheat!!
