Quite nice wall around the city which is now open to tourists to walk on (for free).

How did you park? We very nearly didn't see Girona because of the parking problem; advice for next time welcome.

In fact this was quite difficult. We arrived on Friday and just parked in an (expensive - euro/hour) parking lot downtown. On saturday morning we arose bright and early (9:15) and the streets were empty enough that we quickly had a spot on the street for free.

Our major problem was that they were doing construction in a lot of the city, so we couldn't drive to the parts of the map that we knew and then our map didn't show the streets near our hotel - and the local merchants we asked for directions told us "walk 6 blocks that way and you will find the street" when in fact the street we needed curves around so that the address on the street we needed was only one block away.
