This is the "toilet" in the castle wall in Girona which I'm sure made sense a thousand years ago. It was built into one of the towers on the wall and just drops out of the wall into the area that is now a park. Someone had used it recently. Yikes.

Ewwww......someone used it recently???? Not right! Back in the good ol castle days, there was no such thing as plumbing, so of course this is the best they had....and for a castle, it was the BEST....imagine what peasants had???
